Our academic staff working at International Rankings Department, Res. Dr. Fatima Nur FİŞNE and Lecturer. Sercan SEZER participated in "The 9th International Workshop on UI GreenMetric World University Rankings (IWGM)" held at Universidade do Minho between 15-17 June 2023 in Braga, Portugal.

Participation from different parts of the world took place in the workshop where the theme of sustainability was discussed. In the workshop, international research studies were exhibited as oral presentations and poster presentations. Rui Vieira de Castro, Rector of Universidade do Minho University, who made the opening ceremony speech of the first, stated that he is pleased to hold the sustainability-focused Greenmetric event at their university this year and that these studies are important. The last speech of the opening was made by the head of the UI GreenMetric team, Prof. Dr. ir. Made by Riri Fitri Sari. Prof. Fıtri Sari, in her speech emphasizing the importance of Greenmetric studies, stated that she showed great interest in the participation of universities in the Greenmetric rankings, that there was a serious competitive environment in this regard and that this competitive environment had a positive effect on sustainability activities. At the end of the ceremony, in which group and group photo shoots took place, the posters that the researchers made their presentations were exhibited.
